Estonia is a global leader when it concerns digitalisation and this also goes for their health sector. Some figures: 95% of the health data are digital; 97% of the inhabitants have a digital file and 99% of the prescriptions are processed in a digital way. The country has the largest biobank in Europe. By means of this biobank Estonia wants to set up a preventive and personalized health care based on stored DNA.
