Smart health communities and the future of health

On 29 April 2021, Deloitte Belgium gathered over 100 of its practitioners active in the Health & Social care domain across EMEA around how cities and smart communities can keep us healthy in the future.

After a brief overview of the current challenges for the Belgium healthcare system presented by Anne Massij (Deloitte Belgium Health Care leader), key note speaker Isabelle Putseys (SWECO, University of Antwerp) gave her perspective on urban health and wellbeing. Isabelle François (Health House) led afterwards an expert panel discussion with Tim Paridaens (Deloitte Global Chief IoT Architect), Minni Särkkä-Hietala (Deloitte Finland Health Care and Life Sciences leader), and Miguel Eiras Antunes (Deloitte Global Smart City leader). The session was closed with a case study on the hospital of the future presented by Renaud Chevalier (CEO Assar Architects).
